The short version
Vocal Refresh is a vocal training app for women coming back to singing after years away. You sing four short exercises into your phone, it maps the range you actually have today, and you get a five-minute daily session built for that voice. The audio never leaves your device.
What happens in your first week
No lessons to book, no camera, nobody listening. Just your phone and a door you can close.
1. Day one: about six minutes
You sing four short guided exercises — find your home note, how low and how high you go, hold one steady, match a note you hear. The app measures where your voice sits right now and how steadily you hold it.
2. The same day: your plan
A five-minute session appears, pitched to the voice it just heard. A gentle warm-up, one thing to work on, a soft landing. That is the entire ask.
3. Day seven: proof
Retake the check whenever you like. Most women see the number move before the feeling catches up, which is exactly the point. Feeling better is lovely. Watching the range move is proof.
Curious where your voice sits today? 🎯
Three notes — a comfortable middle one, your lowest, your highest. Hum them or sing on an "ah", whatever feels easy. You'll see your range in about two minutes, and your voice never leaves your device.
Free · about 2 minutes · nothing is recorded or saved.
Is this actually for you?
Almost everyone who finds us through a podcast recognizes themselves in one of these three.
- The reawakening. You sang all through school, then twenty-plus years happened. There is room again, and something is missing in it. You want to sing at home without wincing, and maybe walk into a choir.
- The interrupted singer. You trained, you gigged a little, you took it seriously. Then work crowded it out. You want breath, range and control back to a standard you are proud of.
- The late bloomer. You never trained, but you always wanted to sing properly. Now there is time. You want the basics in private, and to sing one song genuinely well.
If you are reading this thinking your voice is too far gone, that is the most common thing I hear, and it is usually the least true. Is it too late to learn to sing goes through what actually changes with age and what does not.
Why join the waitlist now
Vocal Refresh opens to founding members first, and the first 500 members never pay more than they did on day one.
- Your rate, locked for life. Whatever the price becomes later, yours stays where it started, for as long as you keep your membership.
- First through the door. Founding members get access before general release, while there is still room to ask for help.
- A say in what gets built. You will hear from me directly, and what you tell me shapes what ships next.
Joining is free and nothing is charged today. The waitlist holds your place and your price.
"Nobody hands your voice back to you. You go get it."
Who is teaching you
I am Ingrid Moss. I trained at the University of Southern California and I have spent more than 25 years coaching voice, most of it with women returning after a long break. I have also been performing in musical theatre for over 30 years.
The part that matters more: I stopped singing without ever deciding to. Life filled up, and one day my own voice had gone quiet on me. I got it back, and Vocal Refresh is the app I wish I had had on the way. There is more of that story here if you want it, and the full rundown of what is inside the app if you would rather see the product.
Questions I hear a lot
I cannot really sing anymore. Is this for me?
Especially you. Vocal Refresh is designed for voices that have changed, not for people who already sound good. If you feel like you have lost it, you are exactly who this was built for. The exercises start from wherever your voice actually is, which is why the first thing you do is a check rather than a song.
Will anyone hear me practicing?
No. Your audio is analyzed on your phone and then it is gone. There is no library of your recordings, because we never have them. Most of the work is quiet anyway, so it survives a house with other people in it.
Do I need any equipment or experience?
Just your phone and a few quiet minutes. No gear, no music theory, no prior training. You do not need to read music and you will never be asked to perform for anyone.
What does the founding-member rate mean?
The price you join at is the price you keep. If Vocal Refresh costs more later, and it will, founding members stay at the founding rate for as long as they keep their membership. Joining the waitlist is free and nothing is charged today.
How much time does this actually take?
Five minutes a day, most days. Singing is a coordination skill, and coordination is built by frequency rather than by long sessions, so five short days beat one heroic weekend every time. The whole app is built around a full life rather than a spare hour you do not have.
